Traveling with Multiple Sclerosis or a Disability
I love to travel. Traveling is exciting and fun, especially if you’re going to a brand new destination. Traveling can also be exhausting, difficult and stressful for a healthy person, but even more so for those of us with MS or a disability. It doesn’t have to be that way though. I have traveled to Europe three times since being diagnosed with MS, once on a pilgrimage to Italy and twice to France without a guide. It wasn’t always easy, but I would do it again. I enjoyed it so much that I plan to return to Europe as often as I can.
I’m not trying to make you think that traveling with a disability is easy-peasy. It is not, by any means, but it can be done. With some research and a little planning, traveling with a disability can be exciting and fun.
